Negotiation is a structured conversation where both sides want something, and neither side is willing to walk away without at least trying to get it. The key word here is "structured." In negotiation, you don't just say what you want and hope. You think it through before you speak, you make a deliberate offer, and you listen for what the other person actually cares about. That structure is what today is about.
