I got this hoping for some hard numbers and best practices, and it delivers on that, but I found some of the early chapters spent a bit too long on the physics of pole flexion before getting to the practical selection charts. The maintenance section, though, is worth the price alone - I've already changed how we store our poles at the club. It's a solid reference, just not a thrilling read.

Finally, a book that treats vaulting poles like the serious equipment they are. The guide on choosing the right pole based on true weight and grip height was so clear and easy to follow, it saved me from making a very expensive mistake. The detailed storage and inspection advice is filed in my head, and I'm pretty sure I'll be using this for years to come. A must-have for any serious program.
