I've been into RC cars for years and just got my first motorcycle. This book is thorough, definitely, but the chapter on understanding the gyro was a little dense for me. I had to read it twice, and I still think they could have used more photos. The troubleshooting section in the middle is solid though, and I've already used it once to fix a steering issue. It's a good reference, just not as beginner-friendly as I hoped.

It's a well-organized book and clearly a lot of research went into it. I bought it because I'm thinking about opening a small hobby shop and wanted to learn more about the category. The chapter on business opportunities was useful, but I felt the brand comparisons were a bit too generalized. I would have liked more specific pricing breakdowns. Overall, it's worth the money, but it's more of a textbook than a quick guide.

Finally a book that treats RC motorcycles with the seriousness they deserve. I'm a competition racer, and the detailed explanation of gyro gain and how it interacts with tire compound and weight distribution in Chapter 1 was spot on. It's the first resource I've found that explains why my bike reacts the way it does in corners, not just how to set it up. The maintenance chapter alone is worth the price. This is going on my workbench.
