About this book

Whether you are outfitting a 20-table club, replacing the nets at a school, or building a resale business, this handbook delivers the hard data and proven procedures you need. It breaks down the components, from post alloys to clamp designs to mesh coefficients, and explains what each specification actually means for play quality and longevity. You'll learn how to match a net system to your exact floor space, table type, and play level, and how to avoid the common installation errors that ruin matches and damage tables.

I'm the facility manager at a rec center and the chapter on choosing the right type was genuinely useful. The book clearly knows its subject when it talks about the clamp pressure of the Joola versus the Butterfly posts. My only real reservation is that it feels a little too focused on the tournament-grade gear. For someone just keeping a net on a beat-up community table, the maintenance section could be shorter. Overall, I've already used the installation steps to fix my own net that I thought was broken.

Finally, a book that treats this as the engineering problem it really is. The author doesn't waste a sentence on fluff; it went straight into explaining the tension and height mechanics and why the standard 15.25cm height matters for net sag. I run a small equipment rental business, and the business opportunities chapter alone has saved me hundreds of dollars and several headaches in planning my inventory. I bought a second copy for my head technician. It's the reference the industry has been missing.
