About this book

Forget the shiny marketing photos. This handbook is a working reference for anyone who uses outdoor grill spits and baskets to make a living or to take their craft seriously. It cuts through the noise of manufacturer claims, explaining the concrete details that separate a five-year workhorse from a one-season disappointment: spindle diameter, counterweight balance, basket wire gauge, gearbox materials, and actual motor torque ratings.

This is a genuinely useful reference, not a fluff piece. I've been running a two-truck BBQ operation for six years and I still learned a thing or two, especially about the actual motor torque ratings vs. the marketing numbers. The business chapter on private-labeling was a nice bonus. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that the troubleshooting chapter felt a bit generic in places, and I wish it had included specific measurements for spindle wear on common brands. Otherwise, it's a solid desk reference that's earned a permanent spot in my office.
