I was going to buy a premium sateen that looked great but would have died in industrial washing. The specifications table and the maintenance section are worth the price alone. It is written like a textbook but reads like it was written by someone who has actually stripped a bed before.

It's one of the few texts that actually models the trade-off between durability and guest comfort look and feel. But I found the brand section to be pretty generic, honestly, it names some major players but does not dig into anyone you would not find by googling. For a serious home enthusiast, a lot of it feels like it is written for the commercial laundry contract, not a home. The troubleshooting charts are great, but I skipped several chapters that were irrelevant to my situation. It's a good reference, but I wouldn't call it a casual guide.

I appreciate the effort to avoid marketing nonsense and stick to facts, so I kept it. The comparison tables are useful. However, the chapter on installation and setup claimed to be for daily use, yet only a few paragraphs were about making a bed in a residential setting. It's more of a professional playbook than a handbook for a serious home enthusiast. I have my own spreadsheet for pricing, which is honestly as good as the business chapter in here.
