★★★★★It's a solid, information-dense reference, and I've already used the troubleshooting section to fix a cracked hinge mount on a customer's ThinkPad that I would have otherwise replaced the whole top cover for. The chapter on materials actually helped me explain to a client why the magnesium alloy shell on their ultrabook costs more than a plastic one. My only real complaint is that the book feels a bit like reading a technical manual from the 1990s, and some of the business opportunity stuff in chapter six feels a little too internet-hustle for an 'authoritative reference'. There's also no index, which is an odd choice. Still, the core knowledge is hard to find elsewhere in one place, and it's worth the shelf space.
