★★★★★I bought this expecting more of a shopping guide, and it is that, but it is also a lot more technical than I was prepared for. The chapter on card stock and ink chemistry was honestly more detail than I needed for my monthly church hall game. That said, the maintenance and troubleshooting chapter is genuinely useful — I followed the cleaning routine for the blower and it runs noticeably quieter now. My main gripe is that the author could have spent a little less time on the electronic systems, which are out of reach for most small operators, but if you are in that market, this is probably the only book that covers it properly.
