★★★★★I picked this up hoping for some practical grounding on comb vs. coil binding, and it delivers that, but it reads more like a textbook than a handyman's manual. Chapter 1 does a good job explaining the mechanics of how the punches work and why the type of paper affects the bind, and the sections on pitch and punch capacity are genuinely useful. My main reservation is that the tone is so dry and exhaustive in the early chapters that I found my attention wandering, even on topics I care about. The troubleshooting chapter later on is excellent and worth the price, but I was hoping for a bit more energy throughout.
