About this book
You've heard the phrase 'quant' thrown around - maybe you've imagined a high-paying job building models that move millions. But what does a financial quantitative analyst actually do on a Tuesday morning? How hard is it to get hired? What do you earn at year one versus year ten, and will you burn out before you get there?

★★★★★It's a solid starting point. Chapter 1 finally explained what quants actually do all day - I had no idea about the model validation grind. The salary table in chapter 4 was helpful too. That said, it sometimes felt a bit generic in the early chapters, and I wish it had more specific advice on which master's programs are actually worth the money. Useful, but I wouldn't call it comprehensive.
