It's a solid book with some genuinely useful checklists. I liked the 7-day plan, and the troubleshooting chapter helped me figure out why my hens stopped laying. That said, I found some of the tone a bit blunt, and the chapter on advanced strategies felt like it was aimed at someone with a lot more space than I have. Good, but not the holy grail I was hoping for.

The chapter on why most approaches fail is spot on -- I was doing almost everything wrong, especially free-ranging all day. The daily check routine alone saved me hundreds of dollars in vet bills. If you're serious about chickens, just buy this book. It's the real deal.
