But here is the first, most important thing you need to know: a conjunctival nevus is simply a mole on the thin, clear membrane that covers the white part of your eye. That's it. It's a mole. The name sounds like a terrifying monster from a medical drama, but it's actually about as exciting as a freckle that wandered into a slightly sensitive neighborhood.

That clear membrane is called the conjunctiva. Think of it like the clear cling-wrap that covers the front of your eyeball, keeping everything tidy and protected.
