First, let's talk about your space. You don't need a dedicated workshop. A sturdy kitchen table with a protective cover, a patio workbench, or even a solid tailgate of a truck will work. The key is having a hard, flat surface and good lighting so you can see what you're doing. If you're indoors, a drop cloth or some newspaper underneath helps contain the mess.
