Over the next ten days, you're going to try touch typing — actually try it, with specific, doable sessions, not vague promises about becoming a keyboard wizard. This isn't a course that demands hours every day. It's a 10-day experiment to find out what touch typing feels like, what it takes, and whether it's worth continuing for you. Some people fall in love with it; some people decide it's not for them. Both are acceptable outcomes. The only failure here is not giving it a fair shot.
Before we go any further, let's make sure we're talking about the same thing. Touch typing is the skill of typing without looking at the keyboard. Your fingers learn where the keys are by muscle memory, and your eyes stay on the screen. That's it. It doesn't mean you're fast immediately (you won't be, not today), and it doesn't mean you never make mistakes (you will, constantly). It just means your fingers, not your eyes, are doing the navigation. That's the whole game.
Today is your orientation. You're not going to learn much formal technique. Instead, you're going to get a feel for what this skill actually involves — the physical sensations, the mental effort, the strange flailing that happens when you deliberately stop looking at your hands.
