Welcome. You've just decided to spend the next ten days learning macrame. That's it. No grand promises about becoming a master artist or quitting your day job. Before we get to your first session, let's clear up one thing right now: you do not need a studio, a fancy kit from the internet, or a wall full of inspiration photos to start. The only equipment you truly need for today is something to practice with, and you probably have it in your kitchen drawer right now: a piece of string, a shoelace, a piece of yarn, or even a long piece of gift wrap ribbon. If it's flexible and at least two feet long, it will work perfectly for what we're about to do.
