A 10-day starter plan to learn your first line dances, build real coordination, and decide if this hobby is for you

by Alumigogo Books

Chapter 1: First Day

Welcome. You're here because you're curious about line dancing, and maybe a little nervous. That's the perfect place to start. Let's be honest with each other from the beginning: you are not going to become a dance champion in the next ten days, and you're not going to nail every step perfectly. What you are going to do is take the first real, concrete steps toward a skill that thousands of people enjoy every week, and you're going to do it in a way that feels manageable, not overwhelming.

Let me tell you what today is going to look like. This is not a session where you watch a video and then get discouraged because the instructor's feet move faster than your eyes can track. Today is about setting a foundation so small and simple that you will genuinely feel a win by the time you're done. And that win is important, because that's what's going to make you want to come back tomorrow.

First, let's talk about space. You don't need a dance studio. You need an area roughly the size of a large bath mat, maybe six feet by six feet, with nothing you can trip over. This is more important than you think. Clear the coffee table, push the chair aside, make sure there's no dog toy or stray shoe lurking on the floor. You'll be stepping sideways, forward, and backward, and you don't want to be worrying about stubbing your toe on
