A window magnet, at its simplest, is a permanent magnet arranged to hold something against or across a glass surface. That sounds trivial, and the mechanism itself is uncomplicated. But the difference between a useful product and a failed installation lives in the details: the grade of the magnet, the thickness of the glass, the presence of a low-emissivity coating, the temperature range the assembly will face, and the mechanical load the magnet is asked to carry.
