Tetherball is a two-player game played on a court with a central pole. A rope, typically 16 to 18 feet long, is attached at one end to the top of the pole and to a ball at the other end. The two players stand on opposite sides of the pole and hit the ball with their hands or a paddle, wrapping the rope around the pole until one player wins by completely wrapping the rope in their direction or until the rope reaches the top of the pole on their side.
