A racquetball racquet is the central instrument of a fast, physically demanding sport played in an enclosed court. Unlike a tennis racquet, which is designed for a relatively slower swing and a larger court, a racquetball racquet is short, light, and built for the high-speed wrist and forearm action used to generate power in a small, confined space. The typical racquet is around 22 inches long, weighs between 170 and 200 grams (about 6 to 7 ounces) strung, and has a head size that must fit through a standard ring gauge.
