The core reason is economics and logistics. A consumer buying decorations for a single birthday party makes a one-time decision: they choose items, buy them, use them once, and throw them away. A professional—an event planner sourcing supplies for multiple clients, a venue manager stocking inventory, a caterer coordinating with decorators, a rental company managing equipment, or a retailer advising customers on durability and value—must understand material properties, supplier relationships, storage and handling, failure modes, liability risks, cost per use, and whether something should be bought in bulk, rented, or sourced fresh for each event.
