Masonry tools are specialized implements designed for installing, finishing, and repairing structures made from brick, stone, tile, concrete block, and similar materials. They differ fundamentally from general construction tools because masonry materials are brittle, dense, and require precise application. A hammer designed for framing will not do what a masonry hammer does. A trowel for drywall mudding will not perform the same way as a trowel for spreading mortar.
