Physically, a laptop speaker is a miniature electroacoustic transducer. Its fundamental job is to convert an electrical audio signal into audible sound. The core mechanism is an electromagnet, a voice coil, suspended within a permanent magnetic field. When an alternating current from the audio signal passes through the voice coil, it creates a varying magnetic field.
