A Manufacturing Engineer (often abbreviated to ME on org charts and email signatures) is the person who figures out how to make something, reliably and cheaply, and then spends their career making sure it keeps getting made that way. You are the bridge between design and production. When an engineer in a cubicle designs a new pump housing on a computer screen, you're the one who has to figure out: what machine makes that piece? What tool spins into it? How fast can we run it without breaking it? What checks guarantee every one of the 10,000 units a week comes out right? That's your job.
