A fuel cell converts hydrogen and oxygen into electricity, with water as the only byproduct. The reaction is elegant, but making it work reliably and affordably in the real world is a grind. That grind is the fuel cell engineer's daily business. Your core responsibility is to make fuel cells perform better, last longer, and cost less to produce. Everything else in the job is in service of those three goals.
