You are probably reading this because you have already tried. You have downloaded the meditation app, read the articles on "stopping negative thought loops," and dutifully tried to practice gratitude. You have been told to "just get some fresh air" and "drink less caffeine." Maybe you have even been to a therapist and learned about cognitive distortions and "flipping your thoughts."
